Chapter 32
- "Alia is agreeable," Angelica qualified, "I would not ask it otherwise." More meetings I had missed. I would need the schedule in the future. I sat on the edge of the bed. Angelica stood from poking the fire and turned toward my silence. She walked toward me and stood between my legs.
- "I wish another child," Angelica said, her face serious. I was confused about the subterfuge.
- "I would not be against it," I replied, "Hamund is a joy, purple lips and all." Angelica smiled and I could tell that was not all.
