Chapter 11
- "I would lose a thousand contests for another night like last's," I said dreamily, "yes, I do admit you have the better of me this morning. I am the better for it though."
- "I accept your gracious defeat," Angelica said, "though I still wish to test Sunrise. Shall we ride together?" Storm snorted loudly. He sensed Angelica's mood and wished to run himself.
- "Storm agrees, my Lady. We ride." With that, we gave our steeds theirs heads and crossed the fields at a full gallop. Sunrise stayed half a length ahead. She seemed to enjoy the sport as much as her rider. I dearly liked the joy on Angelica's face.
