• We finished the greetings, and had a few moments to ourselves before the banquet began. I led Angelica to an empty room which was mostly used for storage. Everywhere habitable was filled to overflowing, and I preferred we talked alone for a moment.
• "That dress is enchanting," I started, "for beauty, there is none to compare you with today."
• "Alia thought it would awaken you, my husband." Angelica moved closer in a non-sister-like fashion. The idea my mistress was instructing my wife was both provocative and worrisome. "Are you pleased?"
