- “Wait.” Gigi gently pushed against Fabian’s chest to create some distance between them. Though she liked the heat his body radiated, she felt it was inappropriate to be so close. A strange heat was slowly igniting within her.
- The space they were in was cramped. It was a storage room for cleaning supplies. Mops and dirty mop squeezers were all around them, but Fabian didn't seem to care. He shoved them aside to make room.
- Gigi’s hand moved from Fabian’s chest to his stubbled jaw. His beard and mustache were thick; he clearly hadn't been taking care of himself. He looked thinner than the last time she saw him, and it worried her. Was he eating properly? she wondered.
