• Gigi stood still in front of the mirror, staring blankly at her reflection. Ever since JD rescued her from drowning, she hadn’t tried to take her own life again. She felt guilty about it now—and honestly, she admitted to herself that what she did was extreme. She wasn’t in her right mind back then, and she was ashamed for disregarding the kindness of the people who saved her. She hadn’t even thanked them yet.
