Chapter 71

• Fabian couldn't sit still as he paced back and forth inside his Makati condo unit. He was waiting for Detective De Santos, and his heart wouldn't calm down. Today was when he'd receive the reports gathered from the investigation into Gigi's case.
• "Damn!" Fabian cursed softly as pain shot through his temple. He closed his eyes for a moment and rubbed his forehead. He really needed to see a doctor; his migraine wasn't getting any better, and he suffered from dizziness from time to time. He felt like he was aging prematurely.
• He poured himself a glass of liquor and drank it in one go. Its bitter taste burned his throat. He lit a cigar and continuously drew in the smoke before puffing it out. Alcohol and nicotine were what kept him functional these days.
