Chapter 83

• Luca let out a sigh, they found her, he just finished speaking with Nicho and they found Maya while she was out clubbing. It was late already and he didn’t want to leave Nora alone in the house neither did he want to drag her out of the house. He told them to hold her until morning when he could get to her. He wanted to be the one to speak to her. As he didn’t want a repeat of what had happened before even though he was sure that there was no way his men could mistake her for someone else.
• He hoped that she would not give him a hard time because he already promised Nora that he wasn’t going to hurt her but if she didn’t tell him what he wanted to hear, he would not be able to keep the promise he made to Nora and he really wanted to keep that promise.
• Earlier, when he had walked in on Nora looking so worried, he had feared that something bad had happened until she had told him what happened. He had been relieved that it wasn’t what he had thought. He had sat through her explaining everything that happened between them to Rose, she had made sure to stand up for him and even defend him when Rose had called him names, he kind of wished she didn’t defend him so much because he wasn’t a saint, he has never been one, he has done his share of deeds that Nora would not like if she finds out. she was too good for him and he didn’t deserve her kind words. He listened in on their conversation for a while and heard what she had told her friend. He never wanted her to see him as someone worthy of her time, she had no business giving her heart to him because he would never deserve or be able to give her the kind of life she deserved.
