• “Fuck!”
• He let out as he sat down and dropped the drink on the table without touching it. He needed to be sober in case the doctor called him. He pulled out the purple purse that lay on the table next to him and opened it. He let out another sigh when he saw the content of the bag. The more he saw the more he berated himself for not doing the barest minimum which was to check and be sure. If he had as much as checked her stuff, he would have known she was innocent but he had been blinded by his need for revenge that he had not even bothered to verify. Her purse contained her passport, her phone, and lip balms, that was it, nothing else.
