- I whimper softly as the harsh pain of my injuries is the only thing that tells me I’m even alive. I start moving cautiously, slowly trying to acclimate myself to my surroundings. My eyes are swollen shut and my jaw is wired shut for the fourth time in my life. Genius, I’m blind and mute.
