Chapter 43 Going To Kill Him
- MARCUS' POV
- My insides burned as I walked slowly, leaving trailing blood from my injured head and mouth on the tarmac road, staining it red. The suffering had escalated. My strength, my powers, everything that made me, was slowly ebbing away. Even the fact that I haven’t slumped in a while was miraculous.

The streets were dark and empty, save for the countless street lamps that stood like sentinels at each home, illuminating the blackness. Silence hung in the air like a bird of the night, interrupted by a roaring breeze that added to the ominous ambiance.
