Chapter 28 The Recording
- MARCUS’ POV
- I looked at the new phone in my hands that had a golden case, my eyes sweeping past the ongoing message that I was typing on WhatsApp. And when I noticed some mistakes in it, I hurriedly long-pressed the backspace bar on my keypad, erasing the whole sentence I had typed and starting all over again.
- I knew Trent Wellington too well like the boxers in my drawers. Trent was a hawk whose prowess was detecting unspotted mistakes that everyone else failed to notice. That was his specialty. When a mistake of any kind is made by anyone, Trent alone would make a great caricature of that person, wearing a funny face and laughing in a provoking manner that would stir the sleeping rage in his victims to wake. If there was a degree called mockery, Trent would have bagged it a billion times.
