- My face lost its brightness as I stared in the direction that Trent had gone. He was right. I was not myself. I had been acting different lately; always overthinking and getting annoyed at everyone and everything around me. As he rightly said, the best thing I needed now was a good distraction. Something exhilarating and strong enough to set me free from the shackles of this restlessness that has plagued my life.
- I longed for the old me. The me that was cold-blooded, the me that was in super control of my emotions, the me that had never defaulted in any mission nor entertained any feeling of fear before.
