Chapter 40 Finally Awake

• MARCUS'S POV
• “Where am I? Take it away!” I mumbled as I felt anguish throughout my body. It felt like a thousand claws were pounded into my skin. The ache was consuming.
• I could not see anything. It seemed like I was in a deep, dark well. It was worse than hell. I was just sitting here helplessly, dying slowly as the stinging pain sliced its way through my body, killing me gradually. It was the most severe torture. One that made me want to rip my heart out and stop my suffering. But where was the strength? I was unable to even lift my muscle. I was in considerable pain. Not knowing what to do drove me nuts, and I felt like I was dreaming, even though I knew for sure that I wasn't. I didn't know what to do. Everything appeared so real.
