Chapter 8

Ryan's POV
I woke up pretty early today because I was expecting to receive breakfast today just like yesterday. I know I'm a coward for acting that way yesterday, but a little part of me still wanted to see her face this morning. I hurried downstairs after dressing for work. “Sir, breakfast is ready " Mr. Chu spoke, dragging the chair for me to sit down. “Who made this?". I asked with a little bit of hope. “I did sir". I felt disappointed by his reply. “Have you seen her this morning?". “Do you mean Scarlett?" I nodded, eating the sandwich. “She is still asleep. It seems she might have slept late last night". Mr. Chu explained with a smile. “Make sure she eats when she wakes up. I'm leaving for work ". I wiped my mouth and got up. “Have a nice day sir". “Thank you ". I replied and hurried into my car. Arriving at work, I was a little bit overboard with the way I talked to my secretary. I was annoyed over every little thing someone did at work today. I don't like the fact that she's taking a toll on my life. Why do I even care about her? I had to delve into work seriously else I might end up firing all my employees.
