• Scarlett's POV
• Yesterday, I found out about the gender of the baby together with Ryan. We were so excited. It is six in the morning and I was pretty early today. I was so excited about the baby shower that I could barely sleep. I wore my hair in a messy bun and dressed in a pink sun dress. I sat at the dining table while Mr Chu served me breakfast. Pancakes with honey and waffles together with oatmeal and strawberries. My mouth even watered at just the sight. Mr Chu returned last week from his vacation with his family and he smiles more often. I was happy to see a good change in him. Don't get me wrong, but he rarely used to smile. “Won't you wait for sir to join you for breakfast?". Mr Chu asked and looked upstairs for any sign of Ryan. “No, I can't wait. I'm really hungry and we have a long day ahead of us today. I have to eat for the wellbeing of the baby. “I will leave you to enjoy your meal then". He said and excused me. I heard footsteps, so I looked up the stairs to see Ryan descending the stairs. “Good morning honey ". He greeted and kissed my forehead, taking a seat beside me. “Good morning dear". I replied and stuffed my mouth with the pancake. “That's so delicious. You need to try this, Ryan." I said and passed the pancakes over. “Thank you", he replied with a smile. “Are you excited about today?". Ryan asked suddenly. “I'm a bit overwhelmed about all this and a bit nervous". “We can stop if you don't want to but mom invited your friends and our family ". He whispered. “Is my dad also coming too?". “I don't think so, but don't spoil the mood". I nodded and continued with my meal.
