- “Don’t be ridiculous, Susan,” I yelled at her for making such a ridiculous joke. My younger brother cannot be engaged with my wife.
- “It's true Roy, Amber and I are engaged, do you have a problem with that?” Mike said, causing my heart to sink into my belly especially when Amber said not but peered at me rather blankly.
