Chapter 24 Big Trouble

• By the time Pedro returned to the estate, his expression was dark, his face pale, showing how much he was enduring. The convoy of black vehicles rolled through the imposing gates like a funeral procession, their headlights cutting through the midnight darkness. Ever since he had left Maya's side, the pain kept getting worse and harder to manage at night. It took all of his self-control to withstand the pain as he handled the important meeting he had with the bratva old boss.
