• I still remember that cool Mexican evening as if it were a gentle dream. Holvaster had planned a surprise treat for me, a night out at one of the most expensive restaurants in town. Though the threats still weighed on my mind, Holvaster’s firm promise that he was on the case helped ease my worries. I stepped into the grand restaurant with him, my heart beating a mix of excitement and lingering fear.
• The restaurant was a place of light and soft music. Tall windows allowed the moonlight to mingle with warm candles on each table. Holvaster held the door open for me, smiling gently as he whispered, “Tonight, Nadia, let’s forget the troubles for a while.” His words were soothing, and I could see in his eyes the determination to protect me and to get to the bottom of the threats that haunted my every thought.
