Chapter 105 No Talking
- When Enrico returned to the dining room, I could feel a heavy tension in the air. It was as if the atmosphere itself had shifted, thick and charged with anger. I watched him from across the table, his expression still stern and unyielding. His eyes, sharp and cold, seemed to bore right into my soul. In that moment, I could sense that nothing would be the same, and I felt my heart tighten like a coil.
- I could not help but speak up. With a mix of sarcasm and defiant amusement, I said, "You don't know how to manage a woman, do you?" My voice was light, laced with a bitter edge meant to cut through the tension. I hoped that a touch of humor might ease the heavy air, but I knew better than to think that Enrico would accept my remark as a joke.
- Almost immediately, Enrico's eyes flashed with anger. His face hardened as he leaned in just a little closer. In a low, menacing tone that made the hairs on my arms stand up, he growled, "You too, should learn to mind your own business." His voice was dark and threatening, and I could feel the intensity of his anger radiate from him.
