• That day, the village air felt fresher after a night of rain. Ayu arrived carrying a broom made of coconut sticks, a mop, and a basket of cleaning supplies. Meanwhile, Daniel had arrived earlier and was sitting on the porch of the rented house, which he had officially leased from the owner's family.
