• Ni Luh took the pendant from Ayu’s hand, examining the delicate Balinese script engraved at its center. Her lips moved softly as she read it aloud, “Tresna…” Then she looked at Ayu, her expression a mix of surprise, emotion, and a touch of amusement.
• “Wow… this foreign guy is something else,” she teased, shaking her head. “He actually gave you a pendant with Balinese script like this. Do you realize this is like a sign that he’s trying to propose to you slowly?” she asked her sister.
• Ayu smiled shyly. “He said it’s like… a small promise,” she whispered.
