Chapter 9 Snatch Argos Tower

  • “The top floor of Argos Tower?” mumbled Winston before taking a deep breath. A look of determination flashed across his eyes.
  • “I just remembered that it'll be Anna's sixteenth birthday two days later. I'll organize a grand birthday ceremony for her that will shock the entire city. It'll be held on the top floor of Argos Tower!”
  • Due to his rash action four years ago, Anna suffered a tragedy for no reason. No one could imagine the guilt that he had gone through.
  • This was the only way for Winston to compensate her as her brother.
  • “Winston, the top floor of Argos Tower needs to be reserved half a month in advance. Furthermore, you might not even get the spot. We're in such a rush that I don't think it's possible!” said Jennifer hesitatingly.
  • “Is there no other solution?” Winston frowned.
  • “We'll need to ask those two, then.” Jennifer glanced at Colton and Colin.
  • “I'll call and ask!” Colin whipped out his phone. While walking to the room with the other four, he started dialing a number.
  • When they entered a quiet and luxurious private room, Colin ended the call and shook his head at Winston.
  • “It's too unfortunate, Miracle Doctor. Initially, the top floor of Argos Tower was available three days later. However, someone reserved it an hour ago!”
  • “Is there no way to change that?” Winston frowned again.
  • He remembered Hugh mentioning that he wanted to organize the wedding ceremony on the top floor of Argos Tower.
  • Are they the ones who just booked the venue?
  • “No!” Colin shook his head. “Argos Tower belongs to the Quinns. Unless it's a special situation, we can't change anything. Perhaps, Old Mr. Ryderman might be influential in making some changes.”
  • “The Quinns?” asked Winston solemnly.
  • The Quinns were the most powerful family among the three major families in Jadeborough. If they remained insistent, no one could change their minds.
  • However, that only applied to ordinary people. He was an exception!
  • “Mr. Coldrell, if you really have to use the top floor three days later, I can try asking my connections in the Quinns or look for the person who booked the venue. I'll see if there are any opportunities up for grabs,” suggested Colin after a moment of hesitation.
  • “Another method is to cure Old Mr. Ryderman!”
  • “In that case, I must make him wake up tomorrow.”
  • A glint flashed across Winston's eyes as a look of determination appeared on his face.
  • The lunch proceeded as expected. Both parties agreed on the details and timing of tomorrow's treatment.
  • Meanwhile, Winston showed Colton and Colin the herbs needed to cure Anna on his phone. He wanted them to use their connections and find the herbs.
  • “Don't worry, Mr. Coldrell. I'll do my best to help find these herbs!” Naturally, Colton would not refuse.
  • Colin agreed eagerly too. Regardless of whether Richard could be cured, he would reach out to all of the Rydermans' connections to accomplish this task.
  • After eating, Colton insisted on sending the three of them back.
  • Actually, Jennifer drove there. However, as he was too enthusiastic, she could not refuse him.
  • After Colton went upstairs and had a cup of tea, he did not show any intentions of leaving. Instead, he hesitated for a long while. His face turned red, and he finally asked, “Mr. Coldrell, well... I've admired the Quad Needle Technique for a long time. Can you please tell me the secret behind it?”
  • Colton felt extremely nervous when he asked that.
  • Practitioners in every industry had their own unique skills—no one would reveal their trump card so easily.
  • Indeed, Winston shook his head and said, “It's really hard to learn the Quad Needle Technique. Average men would not be able to comprehend it.”
  • When Colton heard that, his heart sank. However, what Winston said next immediately rejuvenated him.
  • “But I can teach you the Triple Needle Technique. If you can spread it far and wide, you can save the lives of patients all around the world.”
  • Colton had read about the Triple Needle Technique in an ancient medical manuscript. It was extremely magical and was almost as famous as the Quad Needle Technique. However, it had unfortunately been lost.
  • He did not expect Winston to actually know the technique and be willing to teach him!
  • This sudden joyous event made Colton so excited that he almost fainted. He immediately swore that if he learned the technique, he would acknowledge Winston as his master for life and spread the technique far and wide.
  • “You're being too polite, Mr. Ginsel. Would you like to start learning now or find another date?”
  • Winston glanced at the time and saw that it was already ten at night.
  • “If it's convenient for you, let's start now, Mr. Coldrell!”
  • Colton could not suppress his curiosity and excitement. All he wanted to do was to learn this technique that had been lost for ages.
  • “Okay, then.” Winston nodded and looked at Jennifer.
  • Before he even opened his mouth, Jennifer knew what he wanted to say. “You guys go ahead. I'll take care of Anna and sleep.”
  • “Thanks!”
  • Winston shot Jennifer a grateful look before inviting Colton to his room.
  • Colton finally finished memorizing the basic skills and chants needed for the Triple Needle Technique at midnight. Only then did he finally walk out of the room.
  • “Thank you for teaching me this amazing technique. I'm eternally grateful! I own a hospital called Eden Hospital. I'll give it to you as a gift from a disciple to his teacher!”
  • “There's no need for that.” Winston shook his head in refusal.
  • “I know that you don't lack money, but just treat it as a gesture of goodwill from your student! Why don't I give you half of the hospital's shares and invite you to become the chief physician at the hospital? The greatest virtue a doctor can have is kindness. With your amazing skills, you can help more people in the hospital!”
  • “That's good too.” When Winston heard that, he thought for a while and agreed. Since helping others was a gesture of kindness, he was not opposed to that.
  • However, the Eden Hospital shares were merely material possessions—they were insignificant to him.
  • However, when Jennifer, who was sitting on the couch and watching television, heard Eden Hospital being mentioned, she suddenly widened her eyes. She opened her mouth to say something but decided against it.
  • “Mr. Coldrell, I've thought about it carefully. There's still a way to use the top floor of Argos Tower two days later,” said Colton, suddenly remembering something before he left.
  • “Huh?” Winston raised his eyebrows. “Tell me!”
  • “The old patriarch of the Quinns is a regular at Eden Hospital. He's got an old injury that cannot be cured, so he needs regular physiotherapy every month. If you have a way to cure him, he'll be willing to give the entire tower to you, let alone let you use it.”
  • “I've got to solve this issue by curing him, huh?” Winston narrowed his eyes upon hearing that. “I can give it a try!”
  • “Okay, then. I'll arrange a meeting with him at the hospital tomorrow afternoon.” Nodding, Colton opened the door and left.
  • After he left, Jennifer stared at Winston in amazement and shock. “Winston! It seems like you don't really know what's up with Eden Hospital.”
  • “Isn't it just a hospital?” Winston was confused.
  • “What you mean, just a hospital? Do you know where the hospital is? Do you know how much profits it earns annually? Do you know how much it's worth in total?”
  • Looking at how oblivious Winston was, Jennifer gritted her teeth, and her face turned red.
  • “Huh? Tell me!”
  • Upon noticing Jennifer's excitement, he naturally understood that Eden Hospital was not just an average hospital. Since he was now a shareholder, there was no harm in learning about it beforehand.
