• "Burden me?" Jace's voice got louder. I feel bad about putting you down, Elena. But your lies and betrayal are too much.
• Elena's knees gave out, and she fell to the ground holding the pictures. "Please, Jace," she cried out. "Don't do that. I'm ready to do anything. Do not fire me. Do not push me away."
