• The next morning, Stephanie was in Jace's office with Jace and Elizabeth. They were having their usual business meeting on the Ryder threat issue when the receptionist called in saying his wife was here to see him.
• “Mr. Malvis,” the receptionist’s voice sounded through the intercom, cutting through the air in Jace’s office. “Your wife is here to see you.”
