Chapter 29 Her Grief

  • Early in the morning, the pale blue sky is floating with white clouds, the breeze blowing the leaves beside the road, and the birds leaping back and forth on the tree while chirping. Athena glanced at the unknown birds through the car's window and smiled which didn’t reach her eyes. She watched the empty streets while resting her head on the car window. It was around 6.30 am so there weren’t many people around the street yet. A few shops were opening while the rest were still closed.
  • "Stop the car here," Athena ordered Drew who was driving the car silently. After a few seconds, the car stopped in front of a flower shop.
  • "Drew, wait a few minutes here, I will be back," she spoke in a soft voice which was quite different from her usual cheerful voice.
