Chapter 23 Hospital

• Among the heavy pouring rain, Athena ran aimlessly on the street while desperately looking for a place to stay till the rain stopped. She had long removed her high heels which made it difficult to run. After running for a while she found a bus stop nearby and quickly went there. It was empty. It's not like it was too late. It was probably around 8 pm but this area seemed too empty due to rain except for some vehicles passing by. Athena put her shoes aside after taking a seat on the bench placed at the bus stop. She then pulled her hair open and tried to get rid of the excess water. She also tried to get rid of the water by squeezing her clothes. Her whole body was shivering due to the cold. She caught a cold easily if she was drenched in rain. That's one of the main reasons why she avoided getting drenched in the rain even if she loved it.
• Athena wrapped her arms around herself while waiting for the rain to stop. Then she could go nearby to get help or hire a taxi. Her teeth started to chatter due to the cold. She cursed Roman for being a heartless jerk. At that moment, she hated him the most in the whole universe. Athena let out a scream when another thunderstorm hit. She covered her ears while praying to God to stop the thunderstorms and rain. She could feel the panic rising in her heart. She tried to divert her mind by thinking of anything but she couldn't. As the panic hit her, her breathing started to uneven while black dots started to appear around her. She couldn't focus on anything and let out another screen when she heard another sound of a thunderstorm. Slowly everything started to black out around her making her drift into unconsciousness.
• "Athena! Athena! Open your eyes! Athena!" A worried and desperate voice reached her ears while a hand patted her cheeks. She tried to open her eyes but couldn't. She could see a pair of blue eyes staring worriedly at her while patting her cheeks. She tried to open her mouth and say something but couldn't. Instead, she again drifted into unconsciousness.
