• Again, we locked eyes across the table. Everything around us faded away. We were in a universe of our own. Lost in the depths of each other’s eyes. I could feel her desire, she was mine. But it was not lustful. Calm, gentle, controlled. With a sense of longing to escape forever into that universe around us. A universe where we love, undoubtedly, or fear.
• We barely noticed my chef as he placed the first course between us. A simple plate of fruit and cheese. I watched her as she ate. Calmly bringing each morsel to her lips. I marveled at the heat that came from watching her take each bite. Her face was amazingly expressive. She took every bite with precision as if she was tasting for the first time.
