- the next morning, I had an idea, but I wasn’t confident about how to execute it. I only had to figure out how to accomplish that small detail. I could do it—it was my field of expertise, after all—I was a businessman. My main problem was the guilt I felt thinking about my plan.
- Meredith knocked timidly, waiting until I shouted for her to come in. She entered, carefully carrying a coffee, and setting it on my desk. “This is a truce for the unproductive meeting of yesterday.”
