Chapter 37 Frustrated

• Ethan's POV
• I couldn't sleep, I couldn't eat, I couldn't do anything. The house was too fucking silent, I could even hear the echoes of my own footsteps. I could not count how many times my legs had led me to Chloe's room, hoping she was there. I didn't realize how deeply she had eaten into me until now. I had also been unconsciously waiting for my little daughter as well, hoping she would call me 'daddy' again. I knew it was going to be hard, but this... I felt like I was dying.
• I was in my study right now, making calls. I had people investigate my father. I knew that it was going to be hard. That man had his ways of keeping a very low profile, but I knew that he had some dirts as well. Maybe even more than Myles. I needed to find out what dirt he had, and use it against him, just the way he was using Myles' own against me.
