Chapter 22

• The elevator leading to the top floor was suffocating and stuffy. Jay adjusted his tie, looking up slowly at the tall man beside him. "Here," the tall man said as the elevator opened. Jay stepped out, watching in awe at the advanced technologies installed in the office.
• "Welcome, my friend," Gilbert grinned, raising his hand for a shake. Jay shook it, then retreated to a wide spot, taking in the view of Las Vegas from the top floor.
• "Just as I said earlier, you will have a lot of benefits working with me, with us," Gilbert bellowed, lighting a tobacco. He moved forward to acknowledge the other men seated, their eyes fixed between Jay and the outside world, visible through the glass.
