• Laughter echoed in the room from the ladies. We can’t help the fact that Phoebe has a way of making one crack the rib out with laughter. She is just too good with her jokes and I can never get tired of being around her as she is such a jovial fellow.
• When the laughter had died down, Phoebe continued. “But yeah, that’s exactly what happened. I was there all this time, watching as the old lady insisted on buying the exact quantity of codeine she wanted. But the store attendant kept insisting that she was not allowed to sell such an amount of codeine to a single customer. The old lady without uttering another word bought and paid for the quantity the store attendant said she could sell with her credit card and left. Thinking that was the end, I continued with my shopping. Later I saw the same old lady in the store, picking some more drugs, and then I stopped to see what she planned to do. When she was done, she went up to the counter and paid with a different credit card. It was after payment that the store attendant realized that it was the same old lady that bought some codeine some minutes ago that had just paid for another. The store attendant was confused and could not decide the next action to take. She did not know whether to take back the drugs and return back the money. But she got nothing to act against the old lady. Seeing that she had won, the old lady quietly took her goods and hummed out of the store, leaving the store attendant in her dilemma, and every other person in the store bursts into laughing” she stopped.
