• I listened with rapt attention as my mother asked her questions. She has so much she wanted to know about the day’s event. However, from her questions, I garnered that she was more interested in knowing the purpose of the rogues and how I was able to defeat them.
• Looking at her, tears dropped from my eyes, and a lot of what-ifs ran through my mind, like, what if she had lost me, and I didn’t get to see her again, what if the rogues had been able to harm me, what if I wasn’t able to defeat those rogues, what if Dahlia had not intervened, what if… The ‘what ifs’ were numerous, and I could not just list them all out.
