• As I walked back to the pack quarters my thoughts were filled with my mother’s final words to me before I left her.
• “And one more thing, dear. About Adrian, I do hope that you take your time and think this through. Everything that happened between your father and I is all in the past now and I will not forgive myself if you should because of us deny yourself the happiness that you deserve” she had appealed to me back at the packhouse.
