Chapter 9

• ALPHA JULIAN
• The constant ringing of my cell phone dragged me out of the short nap. I had heard it ring a couple of times, if not a dozen and more times, but I chose to ignore it. Holding my mate in my arms felt so good I could barely snatch myself away from her. Her scent was so strong and feminine that it tingled my senses. She felt so soft wrapped around my rigid muscles. I felt like one little touch from me would break her more than she was already broken, and so I tried hard not to move as she slept peacefully until I fell asleep myself while holding her in my arms.
• When I could no longer take the annoying ringing of my cell phone, I slowly untangled my mate from my arms, letting her fall ever so gently onto the bed. Her soft snores tugged at my heartstrings. She was fucking adorable. The dried-up tears on her face were a reminder of the horrible things she told me moments ago, and it makes me want to deliver a hard punch to the wall while imagining it is a particular Alpha's face. That bastard deserves to die. I was here now, and everything would end forever. Nothing felt better than that.
