• Jesse arrived at the grand chamber where the ten elders of the Revolutionary sat. He lowered his head and stood before them, feeling ashamed and defeated. They were the most powerful group of witches in the world, feared and revered by all, and he had failed them. The air was thick with tension and Jesse could feel their eyes piercing through him.
• "So, you have returned," said the eldest of the ten. His voice was deep and commanding, and Jesse could feel its weight on his shoulders.
• "I have," Jesse replied, keeping his voice low and respectful.
