• ROSELLA
• I don't know for how long I slept, but the man who saved me was no longer beside me when I woke up. I don't know how to describe the feeling that settled inside of me in his absence, but I sure as hell didn't like it. The last thing I remember is crying in his arms after I told him everything I went through in the hands of Alpha James. When he pulled me to him, I let him, surprised that my body didn't make a perverse reaction to him holding me so close to him. A single touch from Alpha James repelled me, but this man's touch didn't. If anything, it made me snuggle closer into him as if I could enter into him.
• His big muscled arms enveloped me, and I've never felt so safe in someone's arms like I felt with him. His masculine scent intoxicated me, and his cologne was so good it tingled my senses. I know I shouldn't trust him. I know I shouldn't trust anyone even when they give you all the food you've dreamt of eating, let you rest, watch over you like a baby and hold you in their arms while you cry. But I can't help but feel safe with him. Even though I could barely see from my tears when I called, I didn't miss the way his fists clenched, and his face morphed into anger. His sharp jaw twitched, and I could tell he was seconds away from murdering someone. My dream was finally coming true, a mate who wanted me and would go a long way for me.
