Chapter 30
- She shakes her head from side to side for a moment and squints as if trying to adjust her eyes to her surroundings and when her face dawns with the realization that she's still in the place she's always been, I smirk.
- "Were you dreaming?" I taunt.
- She looks up at me under hooded and tired eyes that are bloodshot. I don't even remember the color of her eyes anymore. They've been so red and dark for so long as I can remember. She doesn't reply to me. Usually, Anne has comebacks for me that only make me want to hurt her the more and I am only waiting for one of those so I can have an excuse to torture her to my heart's content.
