Chapter 2 Daddy's Girl

  • KIMBERLY
  • Yes, he was handsome, but that didn't change the fact that he was an inhuman creature who tortured others for his enjoyment.
  • His face was dark and cold, meaning that he wasn't one to entertain just anything.
  • As I looked back at him, more tears fell from my eyes. He was going to marry me. I was going to be trapped in his cage for heaven knows how long.
  • He was staring back at him, his expression as cold as always. I couldn't even tell how he felt about me. And this worried me even more.
  • “Are you going to keep lying there the whole day?” He asked, his voice sharp. It was obvious that he was getting irritated.
  • He hated me!
  • I could tell from the way he was talking to me. I was never going to matter to him.
  • But who cared about him at that moment? I thought that the more I pissed him off, the more the chances that he would change his mind and abandon me.
  • So I wrapped my arms across my chest and pouted. “I don't want to go with you,” I said.
  • But I had barely finished speaking when he grabbed me by my hand and pulled me up. He did it so effortlessly that I was left stunned.
  • I didn't know that apart from his inner beauty, he was such a strong man.
  • I mean, who would want such a strong man for her husband? It would mean that he would protect you. He would keep you safe!
  • But when I looked into his eyes, I shivered. They were so cold, like someone who wanted to tear me into pieces. I couldn't understand why he had to look like that.
  • So I quickly looked away from him. Maybe that way, I would have a bit of peace of mind. Myles didn't say another word to me. He dragged me out of the cave.
  • His legs were long, and that made him faster than I was.
  • But he didn't seem to care about all this. I had to run to keep up with his pace.
  • “Please, don't take me with you,” I said, not caring about the people accompanying him.
  • I didn't know where I would go if he didn't take me with him, but I was ready to take my chances. I thought it would be better than going to the pack house, where everyone else would be a wolf.
  • But the man didn't seem to care about my little tantrums. He kept walking, not looking at me even once.
  • I felt so mad. If I were going to be his wife, the least he could do was pretend that he was listening.
  • So I used all my energy to snap my hand from his. And he seemed a bit shocked. He turned to look at me, his eyes colder than before.
  • “Did my dad tell you that I'm very dumb? I'm never going to be a good wife to you,” I said. As long as he changed his mind about marrying me, I would be fine.
  • But still, the man said nothing. Instead, it was the people he was with who looked at me with raised brows.
  • “Oh? She talks a lot. It seems like she is dumb, just like the rumours,” I heard a girl's voice.
  • I turned around to look, only to see a young girl, almost my age. She had a gun hanging across her shoulders and another one in her hand.
  • There were several men around her, and they all burst out laughing when she spoke. I felt even madder at them. It was like they all rejoiced in my turmoil.
  • “I don't want to come with you! I want my daddy! Please,” one of the men said, imitating me. The group burst out laughing again.
  • One of them stepped closer to me. “Hey, Daddy's girl,” he said. “We don't do that shit back at the pack house. You have to be a big girl…”
  • “She is dumb! How can she be a big girl?” The girl asked. They all burst out laughing again.
  • I felt so angry, but I knew it was useless to act at that time. There were almost ten of them. They would kill me even before I knew it.
  • So I turned to look at my supposed husband. He was on a call with someone. I didn't know if he had just heard what his guys had said to me. And if he had heard them, then he didn't say anything.
  • 'To think that he is going to be my husband when he can't even defend me,' I thought.
  • “Bring her along,” he said the moment he finished speaking and began walking towards a certain car. It was a white Camaro.
  • I scoffed, but I knew that it was time to grow up. Daddy wasn't there to spoil me anymore.
  • I wiped my tears with the back of my hands and pushed away the guards who were holding me. “I can walk fine on my own,” I said.
  • “Oh? She gets furious too!” One of the guys said, and they all burst out laughing. I could see them imitating me, but I didn't say anything.
  • I walked to the Camaro, and a man dressed in a black suit opened the door for me.
  • Myles, the Lycan Prince, was already sitting on the other side. He looked straight ahead, as though my presence didn't matter.
  • As we drove off, I had a lot of questions in my mind, so I guess I looked at him from time to time.
  • But suddenly, he turned to look at me and held my gaze. “Stop staring,” he said coldly. “Because no matter how much you stare, I don't want anything to do with you…”
  • I felt so furious. He hated me. Why did he take me with him then? He should have refused to take me.
  • “Nice! That makes the two of us! I don't want to have anything to do with you either!” I shouted.
  • Even the driver seemed shocked. He suddenly stepped on the brakes, and the car swayed a little. “I'm sorry, Sir!” He said, coughing awkwardly.
  • But in the process, I lost balance and fell towards the Lycan Prince. My head lay on his chest, and for a brief second, it felt like I was being electrocuted.
  • His body, just like I had seen it earlier, was huge and warm. It felt very comfortable and sweet lying there.
  • I slowly raised my eyes to look into his, and my heart began beating so fast.
  • He was staring back at me, his deep and dark eyes seeming a little calm. He looked more handsome like that.
  • I couldn't help but lick my lips nervously. 'He is handsome. Only if he were human and didn't hate me so much,' I thought.
