Chapter 27 Memory Of Tonight

• The sky was now a rich shade of twilight. As Meredith and Magnus silently strolled toward the park's exit, they both felt the warmth of the day settle over them. Meredith hugged one of the plush animals Magnus had won for her, feeling more content than she had in a long time.
• Just as they reached the edge of the park, though, they froze. Because standing ahead of them, leaning casually against a metal railing, were none other than Xavier and Damien's muscular bodies.
• Their darkened eyes immediately locked onto Magnus and Meredith, and for a split second, Meredith felt her heart drop. Cold sweats formed across her forehead, and she almost let go of all her stuffed animals.
