• As they walked deeper through the woods, the cool air brushing against their skin, Meredith found herself deep in thought. There was so much she didn't understand, so much that was still foreign to her in this new world. She glanced at Damien, who led the way with his usual confident stride, Magnus close by her side, and Xavier casually trailing behind, his eyes always scanning their surroundings.
• "Damien," Meredith started, "you mentioned the Pack MindLink before. How does that work exactly?"
• Damien looked over his shoulder at her, a small smile touching his lips. "It is a mental connection we all share. It's strongest when we're in our wolf forms, but it's there even now.
