Chapter 17 What Does Shameless Mean?

• By now, Roxana had scolded Zoey a few times in her mind. How can she not know Jacquin Group owns Sky Hotel?
• "Mommy," Mia called out softly before resting her head on Damien's shoulder again.
• Roxana fought an urge to snatch Mia from Damien and spank her butt.
• "Mr. Jacquin, I don't wish to trouble you. You can hand over the child to me, and I will bring her home to change her clothes. I don't think you have any children's clothes at your place."
• Damien looked at her with a gleam in his eyes. "Who says I don't?"
• "Mr. Jacquin says he has princess dresses." Mia giggled and swung her legs excitedly.
• "Are princess dresses all you can think of? Don't you already have many of them at home?" Roxana could not help but feel unhappy seeing her daughter clinging to Damien. Thus, her tone was a little harsh.
• "Mommy scolded me." Mia pursed her lips, and her eyes welled up with tears. But Roxana looked at her sternly, so Mia did not dare to cry. "We're here." Damien patted Mia's head and stepped out of the elevator.
• They were now on the eighteenth floor. It was a luxurious suite that took up the whole floor. Damien pulled open the curtains, revealing a floor-to-ceiling window that displayed a gorgeous view. This suite was specially reserved for Damien.
• "The clothes are in the wardrobe. You can help her change there." Damien placed Mia on the floor and walked toward another room.
• Roxana immediately carried Mia in her arms, fearing he would snatch her back.
• "Mommy, Mr. Damien is a good person. If only he is my father." Mia's casual words pierced through Roxana's heart.
• "Nonsense. How would you know he is a good person?"
• "I'm not sure, but I feel he is a good man." Mia smiled innocently.
• Then, she noticed Roxana's sullen expression and quickly changed the topic. "Mommy, help me change."
• Roxana was shocked by Mia's answer about Damien, so she asked, "Mia, if you must choose one of us, will you choose me or Mr. Jacquin?"
• Tears filled Mia's eyes. "Mommy, please don't abandon me. I don't want anything. All I want is you, Mommy."
• "Mia, don't cry. I'm going to get a princess dress for you." Roxana was relieved to hear Mia's response and headed to the wardrobe.
• She opened the wardrobe and found a row of princess dresses for little girls. Damien comes here to change his clothes, and there is an elevator that leads here directly from the lobby. It means this is his private residence.
• Since there are dresses in his private residence, does this mean he is hiding a woman and has children with her?
• "Mr. Jacquin." Roxana heard her daughter's sweet voice as she was engrossed in her thoughts.
• That alerted Roxana. She grabbed a pink princess dress and turned around immediately.
• As soon as she turned around, she saw Damien dressed only in his black boxer shorts. He was tall and muscular. His abs looked unusually attractive at this moment.
• "Shameless." Roxana did not hold back and scolded him. No wonder there is a lot of tabloid news about him.
• I am disguised as an older woman. Yet, he still brought me to his private residence and stood before me in his underwear.
• "Mommy, what does shameless mean?" Mia looked confused.
• "It means you shouldn't look." Roxana went to Mia and led her by her hand to another side of the room.
• "Your daughter peed on me. Yet, you didn't thank me for helping but call me shameless?" Damien's voice was deep, and his gaze was threatening.
• Meanwhile, Mia, who was standing between them, did not understand what was going on. Still, she was happy.
