Chapter 6

• As her phone rings, Bellamy quickly press the side button to silent it while keeping her face up not to be distracted.
• She feel her Boss’ eyes on her despite looking elsewhere and heaves anxiously that he doesn’t call her out.
• After coming to an agreement, drinks are poured to mark the new beginning and Bellamy grab the glass in front of her as she try to ignore the vibrating phone on the table.
• She has just lift the glass to her lips when she hears his voice, stern and sharp. Bellamy quickly put the glass down and turn to him with perplex eyes for a second but then she realizes.
• Realizing her mistake, she press her lips together and look apologetic but the look on his face shows he is not accepting her apology.
• Is he going to make her pay for this? Bellamy could not help worry.
• She has been too haste and dumb not to ask any thing while signing the contract with him.
• The rest on the table also involuntarily halt their actions at the sound of his fierce voice, they all turn to Bellamy seeing she is the one being spoken to and continue to drink their wine.
• They wonder why she isn’t allowed to drink but none of them is bold enough to ask Dominic Knight why he does things.
• Dominic rubs his temple slightly seeing he has lost his composure by yelling out just now, he did not drink but focus his blazing glare on Bellamy who shift uncomfortable.
• She reach to grab water from the table instead feeling strangled by his stare, as she cover her face slightly with the glass, she try to sneak a glance but get choke on the water when his icy-cold eyes meet hers instead.
• Th water pour on her white top and she hurry to get into the bathroom apologizing as she pull her chair.
• The est watch anxiously as she gets scolded with the ‘terrifying’ eyes as that is the nickname that has been given to him because of the rumor that he has actually made a person drop dead with just his stares.
• Yasmin, one of the people on the table and a part of Knight Empire get up few seconds after and excuse herself to the restroom.
• She walk in to Bellamy trying to dry her cloth with tissue and offer her a clean handkerchief instead.
• “I heard about your failed wedding” she begin while resting on the sink, carefully not to stain her clothes.
• Bellamy gaze at her not answering her question and bent her head to continue drying her cloth, seeing her quiet, Yasmin chuckles putting her hand over her mouth.
• “So it’s true” she stiff a big laughter.
• “Oh my, what happened?” she mocks further.
• Bellamy manage to dry her cloth to a good state and stretch the cloth back to her, a scowl forms on Yasmin’s face seeing she is being ignored.
• She snatch the cloth from her and scoff silently seeing that Bellamy is still being so proud and arrogant despite getting dumped on the altar.
• “Isn’t it a pity? You got dumped and even Mr. Knight seems displeased with the sight of you” she sneers, dropping the handkerchief to the floor with an irritably expression.
• Yasmin cross her arms against her chest waiting for her to speak now that she has hit her in a hard spot but Bellamy’s lips crack up instead. Yasmin’s face shift into a hard frown not sure why she is smiling.
• “Who says I got dumped? I just saw a better opportunity and decided to take it. You should be careful now, I meant be deciding your fate soon” she mocks and snorts seeing the horrify look on Yasmin’s face.
• Walking out of the restroom, Bellamy’s smile disappeared quickly and her jaw drops as her Boss stand in front of her, his eyes as icy as ever.
• She glance behind her shoulder and wonder nervously if he heard their conversation, before she could ask him what he is doing in a public restroom, Yasmin rush out.
• “Are you going to seduce… Mr. Knight!” she called as her eyes catch him and draw back quickly.
• Bellamy clinch her hands as she wait nervously for him, thinking perhaps he needed her for something and could wait.
• “Your phone” he stretches to her.
• A gaze of shock plaster on both ladies’ face and Bellamy reach slowly to take the phone from him, without another word, he turn around and walk away.
• Stupefy, Bellamy stares dumbly along with Yasmin for few seconds until she regain her senses and rush after him.
• She rush to get the car door and close it after he has settle down, she get to the front seat and fasten her seatbelt before turning to ask him where they are going next.
• “Hospital” he orders.
• Yasmin take a second to process the order before nodding and starting the call, she has learnt over the past three years not to question his orders.
• They get to the hospital and walk into the VIP section in a private elevator, the doctor they met last time is already waiting at the entrance for them.
• Bellamy manage a smile as she sees him and get curious as to why they are here, she thought the baby has been installed.
• “Miss. Brooks, I will start insemination now” the doctor, John Rourke inform her as she lie on the bed.
• Hearing this, Bellamy blinks surprised, she thought that has already being done. What was done to her the last time then?she wondered and want to ask.
• But purse her lips and nod instead, she close her eyes even thought it isn’t needed and wait with a anxious beating heart.
• John Rourke walk into his office where Dominic is waiting impatiently for him to tell him the good news
• “It’s done” he told him as he take off his mouth cover.
• “You mean she’s pregnant?” Dominic asked, a bit eager.
• “No, we have to wait for hours or even a day or two to know” he answered and Dominic’s forehead furrow in dissatisfaction.
• “Are you saying she might not be pregnant?” he asked and John nod.
• Dominic rubs his temple, trying to stay calm but his eyes are like shard of ice, sharp, unmoving and dangerously quiet.
• “But don’t worry, she definitely will conceive, her uterus test came out good and strong” John adds.
• Not that he is so afraid of him but he knows his anger and how terrifying and menacing he could be when what he wants is not done.
• “My Grandfather is coming back in fifteen days, she has to be with a child by then” he said firmly and John nod.
• Getting his words out, he get up and made to leave the room when John put his arm out to stop him.
• “Do not allow her do anything stress pending the time I confirm she is pregnant” he told him.
• Dominic furrow a little and continue out without responding.
• Bellamy tries to beat the cold by rubbing her palms hard together while waiting for him to come out of the hospital.
• She did not hear him walk to her until he passes by her side and she quickly reach to open the door but he stop her and ask for the key instead.
• Bellamy’s brow crease in quiet confusion, she hand him the key and watch him get the driver’s seat instead. Her face twist into a more puzzled countenance when he get in to the seat and she wonder what is happening.
• At first, she thought he is going to leave her but when he didn’t drive off, she rush to the front door and hurry to get in.
