Chapter 5

• At work, Belle keep staring down at her stomach wondering if a baby has been planted in there but she did not feel a thing.
• She got a message from her mother asking her to come back home and ask the Thompson for forgiveness but she ignored it.
• On her way to lunch however, she finds Rachel waiting downstairs for her and immediately she set eyes on Bellamy, she flee to her in anger.
• Bellamy nearly lost her balance and manage to recover herself out of the shock, the redness and pain on her cheek affirming the slap.
• She turn in a scowling astound countenance to her wondering what she has done to deserve getting beaten.
• “You shameless girl!” she barked, throwing Bellamy into a more confused state.
• She try to guess what the reason for her action could be about and wondered If it is still about her breaking off the wedding but she is stunned yet by Rachel’s accusation.
• “How could you cheat on Gabriel?” she shouted, drawing more attention to them and Bellamy take a second to notice the people gathering getting interested in the matter.
• She turn infuriated to Rachel not sure where she had heard such ridiculous lie but also needed her to leave her workplace to avoid getting her into trouble.
• “You need to leave now” she firmly stated but Rachel refuse to move and rather push in further.
• “Who is he? Does he work here with you?” she questioned ignoring her words to leave and try to go inside but Bellamy stopped her.
• She grab her and try to keep her voice down but Rachel angrily push her away forcefully. Bellamy gasp as she is fling to a side and her heels gave way.
• Just as she is about to hit her face on the floor, a hand grab her swiftly, fortunately saving her from a disaster and broken bones.
• She glance up to see who it is and his expressionless eyes stare at her, he turn to Rachel who is standing a distance away watching them.
• Thinking he is the one, Rachel charge forward to lash out at him but she is shut up by a raise of hand and a stern glare that always get everyone intimidated.
• “This is a business building, Miss. Brooks, what are you doing?” Jasper, Dominic personal assistant asked looking rather unpleasant.
• Bellamy quickly apologize for the disruption and turn to Rachel to get her out but she reuses and insult her instead.
• “You ungrateful child, how dare you ask me to leave?” she bellows again.
• Jasper gesture his hand to the security rushing over and angrily lash out at them.
• “How come you allowed just anyone in?” he scolded.
• “It’s your job to take care of any disturbance, must I teach you to do your work?” he snaps and the security guards hurry to apologize.
• Without restraint, they move to Rachel who could not believe her eyes until she is being drag out of the building.
• She struggle with them but she is no match. They took her outside and restrain her from getting back inside even though she try to fight to.
• Bellamy sigh frustrated and embarrassed, she turn to apologize and appreciate Jasper for his help but see him walking away.
• Not feeling hungry anymore, she walk back to her office to bury herself in work instead.
• The door open and Dominic swirl his chair to look at Jasper who has just walked in, he holds the phone to his ear with an irate countenance.
• He end the call five seconds after but the scowl still remain on his face and Jasper handed him the agreement of the new company they had just acquire.
• “I saw her downstairs just now, she seem to be in trouble” he said as he drop the tablet on the table.
• Dominic’s brows lift up not sure who he is referring to and Jasper sees the look on his face, he furrows as well.
• “I mean your wife” he said and Dominic’s frown changes to a deathly stern.
• “Never call her that” he warn in a sharp, edge cutting tone and Jasper stare at him before nodding.
• “She almost got killed today, what disaster would that have been?” he said taunting him.
• Dominic scowl at his words and after a moment of silence, he asked what he is talking about and Jasper explained.
• After listening, a menacing icy expression settle on his face, he rubs his forehead slightly with his index finger.
• He has chosen Bellamy because he thought that she has a normal family and there would be no trouble such as this but turns he was wrong.
• “You checked her background, how could you not know something like this was going on?” he question Jasper.
• “I have many other works which you deemed more important, sorry for helping offering to help” Jasper said in a bitter yet sarcasm voice.
• Dominic throw a disapproving cold glare at him and he quickly excuse himself to leave. He is his Beta and they have been friends from the age of twelve.
• That’s why he could say things to him without getting in trouble with him.
• Dominic pick up the phone on the table and dial Bellamy’s number immediately, as the phone is picked, he order her to come to his office instantly.
• Standing in front of the door, Bellamy exhale heavily before pressing the silent bell to inform him of her arrival and wait for the door to open, a permission from him that she can come in.
• Bellamy stand before him and bow down inwardly trembling, she thought that maybe Jasper has reported about the incident.
• “Is there any thing I should know?” his voice low yet menacing.
• Bellamy was dumbstruck for a second and open her mouth to apologize for the disturbance she has caused but he speak again, halting her.
• “I don’t want anything disrupting our deal, if by any chance, you violate the deal, I will make you pay for it” he added, his eyes looking straight into her eyes.
• Bellamy is thrown into a perplexed state, she did not remember there being an agreement like that but she keep quiet and silently nod.
• Seeing his words has sink in her, Dominic pick the phone and ask her to make a non-electronic copy of the signed contract on the new company acquired.
• She take it and turn around to work on it immediately, however, she pause as she near the door, taking down his words now and digested it more.
• “If I am going to pay for violating the deal, would you also pay if you violate it?” she asked and Dominic;s eyes flick up in most coldly irritably glare.
• He has snap at her earlier in the morning for making him breakfast since she wouldn’t do that again, she want equal treatment, after all she is going to be carrying a child and letting him go.
• “I won’t” his voice become deep and resonant.
• Bellamy nod satisfied and walk out of the office restraining her grin while Dominic’s face grow more furious as his super-hearing aid him to hear her low chuckles.
