• The ballroom shimmered with opulence, glittering chandeliers, velvet draped walls and the clink of expensive glassware.
• Bellamy moved along the edge of the crowd, keeping her head low, careful not to draw attention. She wasn’t supposed to be at the event but Jasper had called her an hour ago and informed her that Mr. Knight wants her there.
• Unable to have a drink and feeling tired having to wear the uncomfortable gown, the party feels bored.
