• They entered the elevator, and it took them down to the ground floor. Now they were in the office lobby. Poppy stopped in her tracks, looking at Nathan there. He was in the lobby, holding a Starbucks paper bag in his hand. She hadn't expected Nathan to come all the way to the lobby to pick her up. Usually, he would wait at the parking lot and stay in the car. They locked eyes with each other.
• Nathan looked at Harvey, who was standing right beside his girlfriend. Honestly, he didn't like how close Harvey was getting to her. He had repeatedly told Poppy to resign to distance herself from the guy. But it seemed like Poppy had no intention of letting go of her job.
• "Finish your business with him soon," Harvey whispered softly.
