Chapter 21
- Poppy shifted her gaze to the window, Harvey's words had struck a chord with her. She was perplexed about how to explain her current emotional state. She knew that Harvey had a strong intuition. He was a keen observer who could quickly analyze things. Poppy chose not to respond to his remarks because her feelings were too ambiguous.
- It didn't take long for Harvey's car to enter a lush and well-shaded residential complex. Harvey's car turned into one of the high-fenced houses, and the gate was opened by one of the men wearing black T-shirts. She recognized him as a house guard. Harvey's car entered the courtyard, and she noticed several large jeeps parked there. She was confident that those big-bodied vehicles belonged to Harvey.
- Harvey stopped his car next to the porch and turned on the dashboard lights so he could clearly see Poppy's face.
