• A Week Later
• Gina yawned comfortably as she rested, moving her right hand to her stomach and smiling to herself. It had been a week since she found out she was pregnant, and it had also been a week of rest and relaxation. Ever since she informed the Alpha that she was carrying his child, he had neither called her to his chamber for sex nor punished her. For the past seven days, she had been in her cell, and no one had called her out. But she was still curious to know what the Alpha thought about the child she was carrying; he had been so quiet, and it was making her curious. What if he asked her to get rid of the child, bringing her back to slavery? Xindy said it was forbidden to kill a child from the royal family lineage, but what if there was an exception because she was human? She was really worried about the outcome, but she was glad because the child was somewhat redemption for her. Shortly afterwards, she heard the clanging sound of chains, and the door opened, revealing a skinny young maid.
• "His Majesty summoned you to his chamber," the maid said. Gina stood up reluctantly and trailed behind her slowly, just when she thought she was totally free from the Alpha's oppression.
