Chapter 17

• "Gina screamed at the top of her voice as she hit the door several times, but to no avail. She looked back in fear as she saw him walking towards her. He was completely transformed into a werewolf. She had never seen a real werewolf before, but here she was, standing a few meters away from a scary, gigantic werewolf that was about to devour her. As he advanced towards her, she felt the urge to scream out loud, but she had completely lost her voice. She took a step backward at every step he took forward.
• "Please don't hurt me," she muttered with teary eyes when her back touched the wall and there was nowhere else to run. But he couldn't hear her; he was no longer human. He grasped her neck tightly as he lifted her up and threw her against his cupboard. She was yet to get back on her feet when he marched towards her in rage and animalistic growling. At that moment, she knew she had come to a dead end. She desperately wanted to protect herself, but she couldn't find any weapons around. Luckily, she turned around and found a broken piece of a silver bottle. She knew it was quite dumb to attack a strong werewolf with a broken piece of glass, but she managed to reach out for the piece and stabbed him in the foot. Surprisingly, the spot where she stabbed him caused a burning reaction on his foot. His body returned to its normal shape, and he fell to the floor as he transformed back into his human form. Gina's heart raced as she darted her eyes at his face; he seemed to be unconscious.
• Suddenly, her eyes caught the flashy rings on his finger. She could still remember what Xindy told her about the alpha's ring. There was a particular ring on his finger capable of sending her back to Earth, but there were so many rings on his finger. Which one of them was the ring of attorney? And how could she use it before the guard walked into the room to find her? She gulped hard as she moved her hands to his finger and attempted to pull out one of the rings, but it was stiff and seemed impossible to remove. She quickly moved to the next ring and attempted to pull it off his finger, but it equally seemed glued to the finger. She was still trying to take off the rings when the door suddenly swung open, revealing Lady Zara and some guards behind her.
