- She’s trembling before she even sits — soft cotton robe slipping off one shoulder, throat bared in the hush of his dark den. Her pulse flutters under the thin skin of her neck — he can hear it from across the room, thick and alive, the sweetest sound he’s ever known. He tells himself it’s just hunger. It’s not.
- “Come here.”His voice is ruin — velvet over broken glass. It always is. Her bare feet brush the cold floor when she crosses to him, each step a silent plea he can feel echo in his gums, hot behind his tongue. She stands between his knees first — close enough that he can smell her skin, warm and salty, sharp enough to make his restraint splinter.
- “Sit.”It’s not a question. She obeys. She always does. One knee brushes his thigh, then the other — the slow slide of her warmth over the rough fabric of his trousers. She settles into his lap like she was made for it — hips soft, thighs bare, breath shivering out when he drags his nose up the curve of her throat.
