• She should’ve focused on the routine—the perfect smiles, the roars, the cameras flashing like fireworks for her and her squad. But all she felt was him. Coach Maddox, king of the enemy sideline, arms folded, headset dangling forgotten as he stared her down like she was already bent over for him.
